Medical Office Specialist

UEI’s Medical Office Specialist Training Program is designed to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and hands-on training they need to begin a career in an entry-level medical office specialist position.

Medical Office Specialists are often the first point of contact for patients when they enter into a clinic or hospital. Typically, medical office specialists assist patients with checking into the clinic or hospital, they collect insurance information, and collect payment for the services to be rendered to the patient.

Medical office specialists, also known as administrative medical assistants, are also tasked with answering phones, scheduling appointments, retrieving medical records, and verifying insurance coverage.

There is no doubt that Medical office specialists are essential to ensuring that medical offices, clinics, and hospital operate smoothly and efficiently. The Medical Office Specialist position is a patient-facing position, meaning that the individual will have to deal with administrative tasks, as well as working with patients to ensure that they are ready for their appointment and that patients pay for the services they will receive at the medical office.
